Dr. Dennis Krämer has been a member of CeMEAS since August 2023. Since April 2022, he has held an interim professorship at the Institute for Sports Science at Georg-August-University Göttingen. His research interests focus on the social meaning of digital technologies in crisis situations and the treatment of intersex and transgender people in fields such as medicine and sports.
He is the initiator of the German-Japanese network “RE-CARE” (Resilient Health Care in Times of Crisis), which includes more than 30 scholars from various disciplines such as sociology, psychology, medicine, public health, computer science, and ethics. In 2020, he was awarded the Young Scientist Award of the German Sociological Association (Sociology of Body and Sport) and the Science Award by the German Olympic Sports Confederation. Since 2021 he has been a fellow of the Global Young Faculty.
